Even now the ax is lying at the root of the trees; every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.--  Matthew 3:10

I wonder if I bear good fruit. What does good fruit even look like? I wonder if it is ever sad. Even if I get thrown into the fire, will that be enough the keep me from God's Love? No, I don't think so.

  1. What is missing from Matthew is the purpose of the tree that is cut down. It might have been used to cook someone's food or heat the water when a mother gave birth or heat the family on a cold morning. 8-)

  6. I didn't realize you all were reading.

Pseudo... that's an interesting way to look at it. I had never thought of that.

I was reading from the wrong day when I wrote that. My daily reader always pops up on that day and sometimes I forget to change it. Sorry about that. I usually read along with the rest of you in the daily readings.

Ann, right... even being bad fruit couldn't separate us. I love the story of Raddah and Lord Krishna and how she disregarded the threat of Hell, confident in Krishna's love
